wondered if you have any tips on how to use these files in photoshop for editing i use the plugin for webp but cant figure out how to keep them animated and save them
I don't have much knowledge about .webp yet. I know for sure that .gif format photos would definitely will save those items with animation. The only drawback of .gif that it takes some quality off the photo.
By the way, if you want to have animated item itself, you have to have that animation frames. I get it by uploading to photoshop the animated item alone. After you do it, you will see in layers section a group with bunch of layers. Copy this group where you want this animation to be and then save it as .gif or .webp. You can even save it as a video file .mp4. But, as I wrote before, .gif will work pretty much everywhere. I don't know much about other formats.
